Be Still

“...Be still and know that I am God...” (Psalm 46:10)

Are peace and security a reality or an illusion in our lives?

The key to both are found when we trust God with all our heart

and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-8).

He holds the universe in place and he created us and knows us! He never changes.

His peace is divinely refreshing and he will never let us down.

His strength can empower us to fly like an eagle and his forgiveness sets us free from guilt.

The answer to all anxiety is God.

 

 

Like the dew that falls upon the morning plain

Refreshing, healing, cleansing rain

Like the mist that lies upon the open sea

A tide of freedom  covers me

Be still my soul finds peace

 

God, you hold the sun

You hold the stars, you hold the moon

You spoke the heavens into place

You paint the sky with coloured space

And yet you care for us

 

Like a mountain rises from the ocean floor

Forgiveness makes my spirit soar

Like a lightning strike displayed across the sky

Your power beckons me to fly

Be still my soul finds rest
