Joseph's Dream

She was everything I ever wanted in a soul mate,

she was beautiful and lovely, the love of my life.

And I thought that everything was going just fine,

we seemed to hit it off almost all of the time.

Everytime I saw her feelings welled up inside,

she was starlet in a movie of a champion and his bride.

All I ever hoped for, all I ever dreamed of

was to be the only lover she would ever think of.

 

Then it hit! like a nasty trick,

I’m still reeling from the pain.

She was pregnant by another man

and I was left holding the shame.

Quite a change!

Here we are.

The emotions I feel deep inside me.

Is it real?

Could it be?

O God please help me,

help me to see,

help me!

 

That’s when everything had started to blow up in my face,

and yet I didn’t dare expose her to public disgrace.

All my years of dreaming had come to an end,

and now I’ve lost the one who’s my very  best friend.

Then something even stranger started happening to me,

in a vision, in a dream a realistic fantasy.

The most frightening yet comforting words I’d ever heard,

started coming from the God who made the

 heavens and the earth.

 

Saying loud and clear.

“Take her in  your arms.

This child from God inside of her,

 will save you from your sins.”
