Psalm 24

All creation belongs to God. He is the creator and sustainer of everything.

He is the CEO of the world. Ancient cities were protected by massive walls and robust gates.

As a result of hurt and pain in our lives,

we often build up walls of resistance to protect ourselves from further problems.

In the process we can end up resisting God as well.

As the ancient doors and gates were flung wide open to welcome the King,

our lives will be blessed if we let down our guard and welcome in the Lord, the King of Glory.

 

 

When I look at the world around us

All the people who live

I see the image of God our maker

All creation is His

 

Lift up your heads O you gates

And be lifted up you ancient doors

That the King may come in

The King of Glory the Lord of hosts He will come in

 

Who may stand in his holy presence?

Whose generation is blessed?

He who’s heart is as pure as crystal

With hands of righteousness

 

Who is the King of Glory?

Who is the King of Glory?

Who is the King of Glory? He is…

 

The Lord strong and mighty in battle

He is the King, the King of glory

Welcome Him in all His saints

He is the Lord, the Lord of Hosts
