Songs In The Night

Even for believers, there are times when life doesn't work out the way we'd like it to.

There are seasons when we are faced with difficulties to overcome, pain to endure and injustice to bear. But the word of God promises that our loving heavenly Father will cause all things to work together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. Though His voice may seem like the faintest whisper in the storm or the tiniest pin prick of light in a dark sky - don't give up.

We are never without hope. And we are never alone.

 

 

Broken I wait here

Dreams are shattered in my hand

I don’t know how I got here

Or when this night will end

Clinging to hope as an anchor

I whisper your name in the night

 

When I’m still I can hear your gentle songs

Singing in my mind

Pin pricks of light in a darkening sky

Beckoning me on

And I know you are near, in my heart I can hear

Your songs in the night

 

Questions churning in my head

Find no place to rest

Did I miss the way somewhere?

Is this just a test?

God let me know that you love me

My eyes search the sky for a sign

 

Everywhere I go I hear them

Singing over me

Fragile as a whisper

In the pounding sea
