Why?

Do you often wonder,

why we’re living in this world?

I know sometimes it feels like

there’s no reason.

 

Do you feel like living

has lost it’s meaning, its all the same?

There’s nothing left worth living for,

nothing to lose - nothing to gain.

 

Sitting in an ordinary room,

sunlight shining through the pane of the stained - glass window.

Tapestries hanging on the wall,

a little church bell starts to chime, it strikes eleven.

 

I get to thinking about my life,

where I’m going, where I’ve gone.

What is it in life that really matters?

I struggle on through the question why.

Then I finally realise,

that, if it were not for Jesus Christ,

I think that I would not survive.

Not survive.

 

I know this might sound innocent,

but I believe that there’s a reason.

A future that’s worth living for,

a hope, and a meaning.
