Have you ever felt like everyone shines except you? I have!

We live in a celebrity culture. Social media has taken envy,

competition and insecurity to new levels and we can be left feeling like failures. God doesn’t see any of us as failures.

We are His masterpiece and He created each of us uniquely to fulfill His perfect plan, (See Ephesians 2:10).

We are the only ones on earth who can do the job of being us.

So whether we are famous or not...let’s get out there and shine!

 

 

Living in a world of shining stars

Do you ever wonder who you are?

Do you feel so far from home?

Tell me where is love in all this mess?

Caught up in a world of fake pretence

Do you feel like you’re alone?

 

Are you the one everybody’s looking at?

Are you invisible excluded from the game?

Is your status really where it’s at?

Are you loveable when no one knows your name?

 

You can be a star by being who you are

Even if the world can’t see

You can be a star no matter what they say

Or who they think you ought to be

You are uniquely God’s perfect design

You can be a star...and shine!

 

If you become obsessed with what they say

You’ll never be free to find your way

You will feel it in your soul

 

We’ve lost a lot wanting to be popular

Selfish ambition only leads us to regret

Had we accepted being commoner

We’d be ourselves and then our lives would be reset
